This n̓səl̓xčin̓ Parent-Child Handbook lists useful words and phrases for taking care of babies an toddlers. It was developed by The Paul Creek Language Association and Salish School of Spokane with support from the Lower Similkkameen Indian Band and the Okanagan Nation Alliance.

N̓səl̓̓xčin̓ TPR 1

To the right is a .pdf version of the n̓səl̓̓xčin̓ TPR 1 teachers̓ manual.  This manual includes ten TPR units with 6-8 lessons per unit.  This manual is based on the Shuswap TPR 1 book produced by Chief Atham School.  The n̓səl̓̓xčin̓/n̓syilxčn̓ version was translated by Sʕamtíc̓aʔ Peterson with formatting and editing by Tish Elkink and Christopher Parkin for kłyanqx̌ó sn̓maʔmáyaʔtn̓ (The Paul Creek Language Association) and Sƛ̓x̌atkʷ N̓̓səl̓̓xčin̓ Sn̓maʔmáyaʔtn̓ (Salish School of Spokane).  Later, lesson plans and audio recordings for the manual will be made available on this site.

To the right is a two page document and an audio file that lists the Americanist Phonetic Alphabet (APA) letters that are used to write N̓səl̓xčin̓ / N̓syil̓xčn.  The compilation and recording were done by Sʕamtíc̓aʔ Peterson and Christopher Parkin for kłyanqx̌ó sn̓m̓am̓áyaʔtn (The Paul Creek Language Association).  Below is a YouTube video prepared by Grahm Wiley-Camacho that presents the same information with audio and graphics.

N̓̓səl̓̓xčin Grammar

Colville-Okanagan grammar by Anthony Mattina.  This is Mattina's University of Hawaii Ph.D. dissertation. His examples are drawn from field work done at Inchelium, WA during the summers of 1968 through 1971 with Lakes and Colville speakers of Nsəlxcin (Colville-Okanagan Salish).
